The focus of my research team at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, is transition metal coordination chemistry, with special emphasis on the thrust areas, namely, multi-responsive molecular materials, molecular magnets (SIMs and SMMs), redox-active molecular cages, and giant polyoxometalates. We aim to design and synthesize magnificent molecular materials whose physicochemical properties can be orchestrated using external stimuli such as light, temperature, pressure, etc. and can be used as molecular switches.
