Jyoti is from Mau, Uttar Pradesh. She received her graduate degree in Chemistry (Hons.) in 2015 and post-graduate degree in 2017 (Inorganic Specialisation) from Banaras Hindu University. She has qualified CSIR-NET and joined Molecular Magnetism Lab, IISER Bhopal as a doctoral fellow in 2017. She likes travelling.

She is interested in study of magnetic interactions mainly, electron transfer coupled spin transition (ETCST) in discrete Prussian Blue Analogues (PBAs). Her research is based on tuning of ETCST near room temperature via thermal, pressure and light.
