Arindam is from Asansol, West Bengal, popularly known for Coalfields. He has completed B.Sc. in Chemistry (Hons.) and M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences from Burdwan University and Pondicherry University, respectively. After qualifying GATE and NET (LS) in 2018, he joined Molecular Magnetism Lab to carry out his doctoral research.

His research interest lies in studying the role of redox-active ligands in varied magnetic properties of transition metal and lanthanide complexes. Besides research, he has a passion for cooking, listening to music and playing badminton, table tennis and cricket.
